Looking out over Park City from Jupiter Peak, Park City Mountain Resort

It has been another fun summer here in the park city mountains. More and more travelers have found what locals around here have said for years- ” I moved here for the winter but stayed for the summers”.

Activities options are pretty limitless if you like outdoor activities. Here are just a few:

Park City boasts over 400 miles of mountain biking trails. These trails include cross country singletrack, technical down hill riding, to big DH parks. Whatever kind of riding you do, the cyclist in you will smile with the amount of choices. Come see why Park City is the World’s only gold standard riding center.

The hiking trails here are just as limitless. The trail network is maintained by the Mountain Trails Foundation. There are many options to staying on the ski resorts or getting out into the backcountry. You could also take some quick hour drives or a multi hour drive and head to numerous State or National Parks.

Rock climbing in Utah is world class. Many spots in the Little and Big cottonwood canyons are listed as top ten classic routes in the United States. The Uinta Mountains also harbor great routes which offers something for everyone. All of this is just 30-45 minute drive from Park City.

Flyfishing Utah’s rivers is a treat. Since the terrain and topography is so diverse, so is the fishing. I grew up in Northern Ohio where the rivers are big and fishing is plentiful. Since Utah is such a dry climate, the rivers are smaller but well maintained by the state. However, the scenery changes with every half hour that you drive. You can go from the mountain rivers of Heber to the rugged terrain and rivers of Flaming Gorge near Vernal.

Other activities include horseback riding, ATV tours, hot air ballooning, and team building. Of course, there are several highly ranked golf courses around the area as well. These are just some of the alternate choices as far as outdoor activities go. You still have lots of art and music festivals to choose from and most are free.

I love the choices that I have made but especially the one of where I live. I love to showcase the area so come on out and enjoy. Mi casa es su Casa.
